Finding conditions early helps children lead fuller lives

All babies born in the state are automatically screened for more than 50 genetic and metabolic health conditions, including sickle cell and cystic fibrosis.

When a health condition is found early, infants can get treatment that improves their chances of avoiding disability and leading a full life.
